Claire Irene (Callahan) Hopkins passed away peacefully on June 9th. Claire was born in Pawtucket, RI on September 6, 1930. She was a resident of Braintree for over 40 yrs. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards with the “elderly” at the Senior Center in Quincy.
Mrs. Hopkins was the devoted mother of Steven A. Hopkins of Braintree, Linda M. Picciano of Tampa, FL, Michael F. Hopkins, who passed away on March 29, 2020, John J. Hopkins and his wife, Michelle of Holbrook, Brian P. Hopkins and his wife, Jeanine of Weymouth, Diane C. Hopkins of Braintree, and Paul R. Hopkins and his fiancé, Shannon Perry of Rockland.
Loving grandmother of Tina M. Thompson and her husband, Paddy of Pembroke, Angela Jennings and her husband, Ryan of Lynnfield, Taylor Reynolds and her husband, Blake of Tampa, FL, Chris Conti and his wife, Amanda of Tampa, FL, Felicia Hopkins of Weymouth, Ryan Hopkins of Weymouth, Kara Keller of Whitman, Anthony Hopkins of Braintree, Zachary Hopkins of Taunton, Chris Ruiz of Alaska, Victoria Bocanegra and her husband, Nikkolas of Miami, FL, and Aleah and Bella Mohan of Rockland.
She was well-loved by many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
Rev. Ronald Coyne will celebrate a Funeral Service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, MA on Thursday, June 25th at 4 PM, Visiting will follow the Service until 8 PM. A private burial will be held Friday morning at Knollwood Memorial Park in Canton. Please practice public health measures, such as social distancing and wearing masks.
