Claire (Walsh) Fitzgibbon-Hooley

Claire Fitzgibbon-Hooley (Walsh), age 97, of Milton passed away November 25th at home surrounded by her loving family.  Claire was born, raised and schooled in S. Boston. She was a devout Catholic and her faith and family were paramount in her life.  The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Driscoll and Old Colony Hospice for the compassionate care they provided to Claire.  Loving daughter of the late John and Josephine Walsh.  Beloved wife of the late James Hooley.  Mother of Claire Coen and her companion Robert Peters of Milton and Marie Van Ryen and her husband James of Londonderry, N.H.  Grandmother of Carlene Murray, Brian Coen (Christina), Julie Van Ryen, and Michael Van Ryen (Leah). Step-mother of Ann Hooley, Karen Hooley, Mary Palmer, Kevin Hooley, James Hooley, and John Hooley.  Sister of Theresa Madden of Quincy, Marguerite Freeman of MN, and the late Mary Reardon, John Walsh, Josephine Bennett, Helen Gast, James Walsh, and Norma Conley.  Also survived by 6 great grandchildren.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Visitation Parish (St. Elizabeth’s Church) Milton Saturday morning at 10:00.  Burial Milton Cemetery.
