Cheryl Eve Anastas passed away peacefully on June 19, 2025, in Milton, Massachusetts. Born on December 4, 1954, in Boston, MA, she was a beacon of kindness and friendliness throughout her 70 years.
A proud graduate of Fontbonne Academy, Cheryl’s drive for excellence saw her completing her education at Endicott College. Her professional journey was marked by a successful tenure as an event coordinator in the hotel industry, where her creative flair and organizational skills were greatly admired. In later years, she brought her vibrant spirit to the role of a bartender, where she continued to spread joy and companionship to all those she served.
Cheryl's life was one rich with relationships—cherished daughter to her beloved parents Violet and the late William T. Anastas Sr., she was a pillar of love and support within her family. Her warmth and tenderness were a comfort to her siblings: Teddie of Milton, Lisa and her husband Brian Cheshire of New Jersey, and she carried the memory of her late brother William Anastas Jr., whose wife Denise remains a treasured part of the family.
Her playful spirit will be fondly remembered by her nephews, William T. Anastas III, with his wife Maud of California, and Brian Anastas of Somerville, as well as by her grandnephew, Flynn Anastas of California. To each of them, Cheryl Eve was both an Aunt and a friend, her generosity and kindness leaving an indelible mark on their lives.
Throughout her life, Cheryl was an unwavering presence—her compassionate nature and ready smile won her many friends and admirers. She left a lasting impact on those she encountered, both in her professional circle and beyond. Her kindred spirit was felt by many through her involvement in the community, where she eagerly lent her talents and time.
As Cheryl's story comes to a close, the memories of her kind soul and friendly demeanor will endure. The lives she touched stand as a testament to a life well-lived, marked by generosity, warmth, and an unfailing capacity to bring joy to others. Cheryl Eve Anastas of Milton, formerly of South Boston, will be profoundly missed but forever remembered as a light in the hearts she's left behind.
Visiting hours will be held at St. Catherines Church in Braintree on Monday, June 23 from 10:30 am to 12:00 noon followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 noon in the church. Interment will be held at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree. Relatives and Friends are invited.
