Obituary
Cecilia S. Carvalho (Baptista) of Bridgewater, MA passed away on June 26th, 2023. Born in Asomada-Fogo, Cabo Verde, Cecilia immigrated to the United States in 1981. She and her husband returned back to Fogo in 1994 and would return yearly to see their family. She was a devoted wife and mother who enjoyed spending time with her family. Cecilia was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith and was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church in Roxbury.
Beloved wife of the late Fidelio Carvalho. Mother of Eugenia Monteiro of Taunton, Lionor Pires of Dorchester, Pedro Carvalho of Stoughton, Teodora Carvalho of Cabo Verde, Celina Carvalho of Bridgewater, Antonio Carvalho of Foxboro, Jose Carvalho of Milton, Fatima Carvalho of Dorchester, and Toty Carvalho of Bridgewater. She is survived by 32 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Visiting hours are at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday, June 29th from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick’s Church, Roxbury Friday, June 30th at 10:00am. Burial will be at New Calvary Cemetery, Boston.
