Cecelia Ritchie Obituary

Cecelia A. Ritchie (Sestito), age 89, of Delray Beach, FL, formerly of Mattapan passed away at home January 17th surrounded by her loving family.  Born in Boston, she was raised in Roxbury and attended Boston Schools and Boston State College.  She was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed crocheting, dancing, scratch tickets and most especially spending time with her family.   Beloved wife of the late Francis L.M. Ritchie.  Mother of Kathleen F. Castagnozzi of Whitman and Mary Noella Ritchie of Dorchester.  Grandmother of Damien R. Castagnozzi of Abington and the late James S. Castagnozzi, Jr.  Sister of Edith “Dolly” Murphy of Plainville.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave, Milton Sunday January 24th from 2-5 pm.  Due to the current Covid 19 Guidelines, only 10 guests will be permitted within the funeral home at a time, masks are required and guests should bring their own pens to sign the register book.  Private Funeral Mass at St. Gregory Church, Dorchester Monday morning January 25th.  Burial will be at the Massachusetts National Cemetery Monday afternoon at 1:15 pm.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Trust Bridge Hospice, Delray Beach, FL at www.trustbridge.com.
