Barbara J. Burns

Barbara J. Burns, 86, on July 24, of Dorchester and most recently Canton.  Daughter of the late John A and Irene C (Finneran) Burns. Loving sister of the late Mary McGaugh, Elaine Hastings and Paul Burns. Barbara is survived by nieces and nephews Mary Hasler, Elaine Martin and John Hastings, Mary Ann McGaugh M.D., Stacey Sullivan, Margaret Burchsted and James McGaugh, Irene Burns, Edwin Burns, James Burns and Michael Burns. Also survived by sister-in-law Constance Burns. Cherished Grand Aunt of 18 and Great-Grand Aunt of 4.

Long time Parishioner of St. Gregory’s Parish in Dorchester and a 45 year employee of John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Co. Boston. Graduate of Mount St. Joseph Academy Brighton. 

Funeral Mass to be celebrated at St. Gregory Church, Dorchester Friday at 12:00 noon.  Visiting hour at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30 am.  Burial Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.
