Anthony J. Ierardi of Milton, passed away at home on August 12, 2025 after a long illness. Born on October 28, 1942 in West Roxbury to John L and Theresa C. (Verrochi) Ierardi, and stepson to Anthony Bolino. 

In 1970 he married the love of his life, the late Marcia (Merrill) Ierardi celebrating 44 cherished years together, making sure to fill each day with as much love as possible.

He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie A Ierardi of Hyannis, his son Jonathan of Stoughton and wife Linda and his grandsons Luca and Nicholas, who he adored. 

Brother of the Late John L Ierardi Jr of Los Angeles, Rev. Anne Ierardi and her spouse Dr. Judith Recknagel of Yarmouth Port, and brother in law to David W Merrill of New Hampshire.  

He worked in the insurance industry: 31 years at Kemper, 16 years at Sheppard Riley and Coughlin’s Big Dig Team. 

Anthony’s vocation as floral designer and business owner spanned over 50 years. Early mornings he rushed down to the Boston Floral Market in a city that he loved to prepare for weddings, funerals, and parties. He was well known for his holiday specials, which he shopped all year for. His memorable arrangements made people happy.

He enjoyed traveling including Europe , various countries and islands. He loved cooking for family carrying on the Italian Sunday dinner tradition. He loved music, inherited the family’s quick sense of humor and appreciated the many cousins and relatives he grew up with. 

The family would like to thank Anthony’s caregivers who allowed us to fulfill his wish of remaining in his home . Special thanks to Fritz, Maria and various caregivers from The Corner Stone Agency . 

Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Friday August 15th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. James Church, Stoughton Saturday morning August 16th at 10:30.  Burial will follow at Milton Cemetery
