Anne O'Connor Obituary

 

Anne T. (McGrath) O’Connor passed away September 8th.  Born in Boston to the late Brigid and Malachy McGrath, Anne was raised in Dorchester.  She was predeceased by her sister, Mary, who passed away at age 4.  Anne was a graduate of St. Gregory’s High School.

She met her husband of sixty years while they were both working at Lever Brothers in Boston. After marrying in 1947, they built their home in Milton where they lived and raised their family. In 1967 Anne took a “temporary” position at the Carney Hospital Gift Shop, and loved it so much she stayed as a book keeper for over forty years. She was a daily communicant at St. Elizabeth Parish in Milton and most recently at St. Albert the Great in Weymouth. 

Beloved wife of the late Gerard P. O’Connor.  Mother of Paul O’Connor and his wife Mary Anne of Mobile, AL, Beth Tevenan and her husband Michael of S. Weymouth and the late Jeanne Reardon and Kathleen Gordon.  Mother-in-law of Helene Coner of Lighthouse Point, FL and  Mamie Ross of Abington.  Devoted Grandmother of Michael Coner and his wife Michelle, Laurie McFarland and her husband Rob, Brendan Tevenan, Julie Tevenan and her Fiancé Matt Tetreault, and Patrick Tevenan.  Great Grandmother of Kylie, Briella, and Mia McFarland. 

Visitation at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Wednesday morning September 14th from 9:00- 11:00 am. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Milton at 11:30. Burial to follow at Milton Cemetery.
