Anne (Walsh) Mahoney

Anne Walsh Mahoney (94) of Townaleen, Co Galway passed away peacefully at her home in Lower Mills on June 25th surrounded by her loving family. Mother to John Mahoney (Karen) of Quincy, Joanne Grealish (Josie) of Hanover and Tommy Mahoney. Adoring Nana of Sean, TJ, Kerri, Courtney. Sarah and Connor and great grandchildren Olivia and Patrick. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John, brothers Michael and Johnny, sisters Mary, Bridie, Eileen, Kathleen and survived by her sister Margaret as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Nana was the life of the party and our very own Galway girl. She enjoyed listening to Irish music and would never turn down an invitation for a jive. She loved a good laugh and a small drink and wasn’t afraid to stay up late. Above all, Nana loved being with her family and lived her life to the absolute fullest. She was deeply cherished by all who knew her. Nana will be greatly missed but will live on forever in our hearts..  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Gregory Church, Dorchester, Friday morning at 10:30. Visiting hour will be held at the Alfred D.
