Anne H. Best

Anne H. Best age 90, passed away peacefully on January 13, 2023.

Born in Boston, Massachusetts on May 7th, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Garvey and Catherine Coughlin.

Devoted wife of the late James J. Best Jr. They would have been married 69 years on February 20, 2023. They loved each other with no comparison. Beloved mother of Kathryn M. Best Manzo and her husband Peter A. Manzo of South Weymouth, Michael T. Best and his wife Lisa Best of Taunton, to the late James J. Best, the late Matthew J. Best, and the late Andrew L. Best. Cherished sister of the late Eileen Iodice and John Garvey.

Anne is also survived by five grandchildren, Stephanie, Danny, Michael, Jennifer, and Julie and many nieces and nephews.

Anne was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage. A very strong woman, deeply loved by her whole family.
She traveled all over with James including Ireland, Hawaii, World's Fair many years ago. They loved going to Foxwoods and The Hard Rock Casino. They were also Snowbirds enjoying the winters in their home in Florida down the street from their son James J. Best.

She played cards, bingo and traveled with her good friends, The Golden Girls.

Visitation will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave. Milton, MA on Wednesday February 1, 2023 from 9:00-10:00am. A funeral service will be held inside the funeral home at 10:00am. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 11:30am.
