Anna Clasby (Kuznezov), of Milton, Massachusetts, passed away on June 21, 2026 at the age of 80, leaving behind a legacy of love, intellect, devotion, and quiet strength that touched all who knew her.

Born in Klagenfurt, Austria, Anna came into the world with a bright mind and a gentle spirit that would guide her throughout her life. She was the beloved daughter of the late Gregory and Anna Kuznezov, and from an early age she carried herself with grace, determination, and a deep appreciation for learning. Her family and friends remember her as a woman who was loving, kind, and intelligent, qualities that were evident in every part of her life.

Anna attended Girls Latin School, where her academic excellence shone brightly. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with the highest praise, a distinction that reflected both her discipline and her remarkable intellect. Never one to stop learning, she later attended Harvard University, where she took classes at night toward her postgraduate degree. Her commitment to education was lifelong, and she valued knowledge not only for what it could achieve, but for the doors it opened and the understanding it inspired.

Anna devoted much of her professional life to teaching and science. She taught Advanced Chemistry at Milton High School, where she shared her knowledge with generations of students and encouraged them to think critically, work diligently, and believe in their own potential. Her students benefited not only from her expertise, but also from her patience and her ability to make a challenging subject come alive. She later contributed her talents to SeragenPharmaceutical, where she developed medicine and continued her work in a field that demanded both precision and dedication. Through her career, Anna demonstrated a rare combination of intelligence, perseverance, and purpose.

Anna was also deeply devoted to her faith and her parish community. She was an avid parishioner at St. Elizabeth’s Church in Milton, where she found comfort, fellowship, and strength. Her presence there was a reflection of the faith she carried in her heart and the values by which she lived. She was someone who understood the importance of community, service, and steadfast devotion, and she gave of herself in ways both large and small.

Outside of her work and church life, Anna found joy in simple pleasures and lifelong interests. She loved cats, and her affection for them was well known to those around her. She also enjoyed spelling bees, a fitting pastime for someone with such a sharp and curious mind. These interests, though modest in appearance, spoke to the warmth, wit, and lively spirit that made her so memorable to family and friends.

Anna was the devoted wife of the late Aruthur F. Clasby, with whom she shared her life and built a loving home. She was a cherished mother to Gina M. Lemire and her husband Shaun of Monson, and Judy A. Levasseur of Milton. She was also the treasured grandmother of Nick and Matt Levasseur and Dante, Seth, and Brenna Behan, each of whom brought her great pride and joy. Her love extended beyond her immediate family to many nieces, nephews, and relatives overseas on the other side of the pond, all of whom will remember her with affection and gratitude.

Anna’s life was one of accomplishment, devotion, and enduring love. She will be remembered for her sharp mind, her generous heart, and the steady kindness she showed to others throughout her years. Her family takes comfort in knowing that her influence lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the love she gave so freely.

Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, Anna Clasby’s memory will remain a blessing to all who knew and loved her. Her life was a testament to the power of education, faith, family, and compassion, and she will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton on Sunday June 28th from 2:00-6:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 29th at 11:30am at St. Elizabeth Church Milton. Burial to follow at Milton Cemetery.
