Ann Marie T. (Sullivan) Joyce

Ann Marie T. Joyce (Sullivan), age 83, of Milton and Manomet, passed away peacefully June 24th.  AnnMarie was born June 4, 1938 in Somerville and raised in Dorchester, St. Mark's Parish. She graduated from Archbishop Cushing High School where she was President of her senior class. She was a 50-year resident of Milton and an active parishioner at St. Agatha’s Church, where she was previously a CCD Coordinator.  Her pride and joy was her 57-year marriage to Jack, her lifelong love and friend, which gifted them with 6 children and 17 grandchildren.  When not shopping or working at Filenes, AnnMarie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends at her longtime summer home in Manomet.  For 25 winters, She and Jack enjoyed winter escapes to the PGA in Palm Beach Gardens FL., where many would see her volunteering at The Honda Classic.  AnnMarie was very involved in the town of Milton which included; a member of the Milton Women’s Club, volunteering at the Friends of Milton Hospital and Milton town election polls.  She enjoyed playing tennis and bowling at Cunningham Park, and was forever seen as the number-one-supporter of her children and grandchildren at all of their sporting events. 

Beloved wife of the late John F. Joyce, Mother of John Joyce and his wife Kathy of Hull, the late Michael Joyce and his wife Tracy of Marblehead,  Kathleen Hill and her husband Lloyd of Milton, Mark Joyce of Marblehead, Paul Joyce and his wife Nicole and Kristen Charron and her husband Jeff, all of Braintree.  Sister of Dr. Thomas Sullivan of Norwood, Dr. Michael Sullivan of NJ, and the late Dr. Geraldine Sullivan-Tyler.  Also survived by 17 cherished grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Agatha Church, Milton, Tuesday, June 29th, 2021 at 12 noon. Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Tuesday, June 29th prior to the mass from 9:00-11:30 am. Burial Milton Cemetery.   In Lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in the name of The Michael Joseph Patrick Joyce Scholarship Fund.  Any contributions are greatly appreciated and can be sent to The National Grand Bank, 91 Pleasant St., Marblehead, MA 01945 on behalf of the scholarship.
