Thomas J. Maloney

Thomas J. Maloney, age 68, of W. Roxbury formerly of Quincy passed away July 22nd at the Faulkner Hospital in Boston.  Born in South Boston, he raised his family in Quincy.  He retired from Barrett Distribution in Franklin where he was employee of the year in 2007 and 2013.  Member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 180 in Lower Mills.  Tom greatly enjoyed his short retirement by spending more time with his family and friends and watching his favorite team, the Patriots. Tom will be greatly missed by all.   

Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Bridges).  Father of Marsha Maloney of W. Roxbury, Joshua Maloney of S. Boston and Christopher Maloney of Peabody.  Grandfather of Timothy Powell, Meadow McLeod, and Hayden Maloney.  Brother of James Maloney and his wife Mary of Ipswich and Julia Barton of S. Boston.  Also survived by longtime companion Donna Thompson and many other loving family members and friends.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday from 2-5 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. Joseph’s Church, 556 Washington St. Quincy Monday morning at 10.  Burial St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury.  Donations may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Assn 260 Cochituate Rd #200 Framingham, MA 01701.
