Sylvester V. "Vic" Rosa

Sylvester V. “Vic” Rosa passed away peacefully, his loving family by his side, on Monday, October 29, 2018.  Born in Boston, Vic was raised and educated in the Boston schools, lived for many years in Dorchester before moving to Milton. He entered the Air Force during the Korean War where he proudly served his country.  He was a retired employee of the the United States Post Office, an avid sports fan, especially the Boston Bruins, loved gardening, a long time member of the Knights of Columbus and coached the St. Matthew Church hockey teams and the D.L.M.  Youth Hockey Leagues. Beloved husband  and best friend of the late Margaret Ann “Peg” (Spillane). Devoted father of Peggy McGrane and her husband Francis of NH, Kathleen Rosa-Haig and Mark A.  of Milton and the late Gerard V. Rosa. Loving grandfather of Courtney and Kevin McGrane. Brother of  Natalie Bissonette of FL and the late Anthony J. Rosa.  Visiting Hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton Friday 4 to 8PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Mary of the Hills Church, Milton Saturday morning at 10. Interment Milton Cemetery.
