Sean Paul Ryan

Sean Paul Ryan, 37, of Brooklyn, New York passed away on September 29, 2018. He was born to Tom and Nancy Ryan of Milton, Massachusetts on July 27, 1981. Sean graduated from Milton High School where he forged many lifelong friendships, was a member of the National Honor Society and captain of both the football and indoor track teams. He was recognized as a Patriot Ledger All Scholastic in both sports. Sean attended Phillips Exeter for his post-graduate year where he played football and graduated cum laude. He then attended Tulane University and graduated from New York University with a degree in Psychology.

Sean will be remembered for his love of reading, spirited discussions, and his dogs, Butchie, Elvis, Dewey and Mio. Sean found his passion training dogs, and ran a business in Brooklyn for several years prior to his passing. His special connection to animals was a gift, and he cared very much for those he worked with. Sean’s legacy will live on with the families he helped and the dogs he trained.

 Sean is survived by his parents, Tom and Nancy Ryan of Milton, brothers Brendan Ryan and wife Alison of Lexington, Terence Ryan and wife Hannah of Portland, Maine, sister Molly Ryan and husband Brendan Reich of New York, New York, and longtime partner Youngmee Kim of New York, New York. He is preceded in death by maternal grandparents John and Jeanne Ryan, paternal grandparents William and Mary Ryan and his uncle Paul Ryan.

Funeral arrangements will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am at St. Mary of the Hills Church in Milton, MA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Paul Ryan Memorial Scholarship Fund care of Scottt Devlin, Milton High School 25 Gile Rd. Milton, MA 02186.
