Patrick J. McCauley

McCauley, Patrick J., of Milton, formerly of CO. Galway, Ireland, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on Feb. 26th. He is the beloved husband of Helen “Maureen” (Harnan) with whom he shared 59 years of marriage.

He is the devoted father to Kevin P McCauley of Franklin, John Frances McCauley of Jamaica Plain, Karen M. Doolan of Natick, Brian T McCauley of England and Steven Frances McCauley of Weymouth.

Pat is survived by his brother Joe McGauley of Oughterard, CO Galway and sister Sarah (Sally) King of Dublin, Ireland and the late Peter, Thomas, and Frank McGauley, Ann Tunney and Mary D’Lima.

He doted on his loving grandchildren Patrick, Sarah, Brian, Maria, Tim, Meghan, John, Chloe, Julia and Abby. He is a special uncle to his 23 nieces and nephews.

He shared his time in Boston, Cape Cod and Florida where he golfed when he was not supporting the Sox, Bruins, Pats, GAA, Oughterard, Galway and Ireland. A proud member of the hole-in-one club.  His witness to his grandchildren’s milestones meant his handicap remained in single figures. 

His defiance of Parkinson’s in retirement was an inspiration to all. Donations to the Parkinson’s Foundation (https://parkinson.org/) in lieu of flowers are welcome.

Visiting at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave. Fri. 4 to 8. Funeral Mass at St Pius X Church, Milton Sat. morning at 10. Burial Milton Cemetery.
