Kathleen “Kathy” Ann (Gunn) Doyle, age 72, of Quincy, MA. passed away on November 6, 2019 at home surrounded by her family after a long courageous fight with breast cancer. She was the loving wife of 54 years to Adrian J. Doyle.
Kathy was the devoted mother to Kathleen Carr and her husband William of Hanson, MA. and Joseph Doyle and his wife Bridget of Derry, N.H..
She was a cherished nana to Ashley (Carr) Fall and her husband Kenny of Halifax, MA., Derek and Alex Carr of Hanson, MA., Justine and Francesca Doyle and Tyler Prendergast of Derry, N.H..
She is also survived by her brother Thomas Gunn and his wife Marlene of Middleboro, MA. and her sisters Geri Heavey of Avon, MA., Peggy McIntyre of Halifax, MA., Judy Doyle of Abington, MA., Debbie Nee of Quincy, MA., and the late Bobby and Betty Jean Gunn. She also leaves behind many sister and brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Kathy loved to travel to warm places. For her 55th birthday they bought a condo in West Palm Beach, Florida so they would have a permanent place in the sun. She loved to explore the area for good food and a great happy hour. She also loved camping and kayaking down the Saco River with her family. Thursday was her favorite day of the week, it was Bingo with her sisters, Judy and Peggy. Once she became a Nana everything was about her grandchildren. She would go to all their games and events to cheer them on. She would never miss anything, she was the best Nana.
Kathy was always an hour early to every party she went to so she could go to the bar and enjoy a cold Sam Adams. Kathy loved to dance anywhere there was music. She was always the first one on the dance floor and the last one off!
She will be remembered for being fun-loving, caring, and having the kindest heart. She will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her.
