Jeannette M. Condon

Osterville – Jeannette (Ham) Condon, 89, of Osterville, formerly of Dorchester passed away peacefully Wednesday, August 1, 2018, at Queen Anne Nursing Home, Hingham, MA.

Jeannette was born in New Haven, CT on January 16, 1929, the daughter of Elmer and Helen (McGrath) Ham. She moved to Dorchester, MA when she was twelve and graduated from Mount St. Joseph’s Academy in Brighton in 1947. She met the love of her life, John (Jack) Condon while still a student at the Mount and worked at the John Hancock Insurance Company from 1947 until her marriage to Jack in 1950. They were married on May 6, 1950 and went on to have six daughters and one premature son. Jeannette was predeceased by her beloved husband of 29 years in 1979 and her infant son, John Jr.

A Realtor for 20 years, Jeannette left real estate in 1991 and was then employed by ITT Hartford until her retirement in 1999.  She relocated to Cape Cod in 2000.  She was a volunteer at the Barnstable Senior Center as well as the Barnstable recreation center until 2015.  Jeannette was a communicant at Our Lady of Victory Parish in Centerville.  A memorial mass will be scheduled at Our Lady of Victory at a later date.
She leaves her daughters, Joyce Reardon and her husband, Timothy, of Falmouth, MA; Susan O’Connell and her husband, Arthur of Quincy, MA; Kathleen Condon of Worcester and Osterville, MA; Mary Solomon and her husband, Michael, of Sun City West, AZ; Jeannette Condon on Quincy, MA; and Judith Pierce of Osterville, MA. Jeannette also leaves four grandchildren: Jon Reardon and his wife, Jodie, of Middletown, CT; Elizabeth Dussán and her husband, Ricardo, of Bourne, MA; Susan O’Connell-Kingham of Quincy; and Megan Clooney and her husband, Bryan, of Portsmouth, RI and six great-grandchildren, Ryan, Andrew, and Erin Reardon, Declan Kingham, Gabriela Dussán, and Caroline Clooney.
Jeannette’s family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Queen Anne, and Old Colony Hospice for their loving care and support of Jeannette.
 

Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Avenue, Milton, MA 02186 from 4-8pm on Friday August 3^rd, 2018.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Gregory’s Church, 2233 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124 at 10:30 am, Saturday August 4th. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery, 920 Adams Street, Dorchester, MA.
