Janice Claire Hickey

Janice Claire Hickey, age 65, of Brockton, formerly of Milton passed away suddenly November 4th at home.  Born in Boston, she was raised in Milton and graduated from Milton High School.  She worked for Verizon for over 20 years starting as a clerk and retired as an Engineer in 1997.  After retiring she volunteered for many years for the Brockton VA Hospital accumulating 25,248 hours of service and she was also a member of the New England Telephone Pioneers for over 30 years. 

Beloved sister of Walter R. Hickey, Jr. and his wife Mary of Abington, John J. Hickey and his wife Noreen of Marshfield, Linda A. Catts of Milton, DE, James M. Hickey and his wife Michele of Hanson, and William J. Hickey and his wife Lisa of Weymouth.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.  Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday 4-8 pm.  Funeral Mass at St. Agatha Church Milton Friday morning at 9:00.  Burial Milton Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute 450 Brookline Ave Boston, MA 02215
