Keating, James R. age 76 of Quincy, formerly of Brighton passed away May 5th after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was a Contractor and Master Carpenter that was amazingly talented with his hands and a consummate artist with wood. He was an avid Fly Fisherman who tied his own Flies and talented gardner, and enjoyed travelling and collecting farm antiques. He loved Irish Music and music from Nova Scotia as well. Beloved fiancé of Elizabeth Driscoll. Brother of Maureen McCaffrey and her husband Dr. Ronald McCaffrey of Needham and the late Robert Keating. Brother in law of Mary Keating of Bridgewater. Uncle of Alison Atallah and her husband Peter of Needham, Ronald McCaffrey and his wife Ester of Pawtucket, RI, Dr. Anne McCaffrey and her husband Martin O’Connor of Needham, Maura Morini and her husband Peter of Bridgewater, Sheila Keating and her husband Graham Bennett of San Francisco, and Matthew Keating of Bridgewater. Relatives and friends invited to attend a funeral service at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Thursday morning at 11:30. Burial Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
