Craig S. Ruiter

Craig S. Ruiter of Weymouth, formerly from Quincy, passed away on May 14th, 2018. Beloved son of Mary Ruiter, husband Raymond Haley and the late William Ruiter. Devoted brother of Corey and husband Steve Goguen, Ben Ruiter, Bobby and his wife Katie Ruiter, Abby Ruiter and fiance Nathan Umlah, Alice and husband James Umlah, Abe Ruiter and fiance Molly Sanchez. Loved by Patrick Ross, Leah and Samantha Goguen, and many other nieces and nephews. Survived by Scotty Drohan, Mike Fay and many other close friends.

Graduated Quincy High, Class of 1987. Longtime science teacher at Boston Day and Night Academy. Previously taught physics and math at Boston Latin Academy and Dorchester High School. He was loved deeply by his students and staff.

Dedicated member of AA, Snug Harbor group. Craig enjoyed traveling, surfing, scuba diving, and boating. He loved spending time with his dog, Ohkea and his friends and family. 

Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home, 326 Granite Ave., Milton, Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM closing with a Funeral Service at 6.
