O’Brien, Christine M. (formerly Sr. Ellen Denise, SND) age 80, of South Boston, previously Seabrook, NH, passed peacefully on Saturday, February 16th surrounded by her loving family. Devoted daughter of the late John J. and Mary C. (Maizie) O’Brien. Dear sister of Geraldine (Gerrie) O’Brien of South Boston, Denise J. Polli of Braintree and her late husband Ray Polli. Caring aunt of John O. Mackie, his wife Teresa, great aunt of Julia, Maria and Nolan Mackie all of Canton. Step aunt of Linda &Tom Plourde of Plymouth, Karen Kane of Braintree and Stephen & Diana Polli of Bethel, ME. Great step aunt of Leslie Egan, Lisa & Kyle MacEwen, and Brian Kane. Viewing at Gate of Heaven Church, South Boston, Saturday, Feb. 23rd at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am. Burial in Blue Hill Cemetery Braintree. Former Teacher of several Massachusetts Schools. Retired 4th grade teacher from The Exeter Public School System. The family wishes to thank the staff and residents at Compass on the Bay for their care and companionship.
