Charles N Bougopoulos

Charles N Bougopoulos, age 83, passed away on February 27, 2019.  Charles was born to the late Nicholas and Aphrodite Bougopoulos.  He attended Boston Latin HS, earned his business degree after attending Harvard and Boston University and served in the U.S. Army.  In January 1963, he married Helen M Hogan, and moved to Vestal, NY where he began his 30 year plus career at IBM and Lockheed.  Charlie was an avid sports fan, he loved playing senior softball and pickleball, enjoyed watching his Red Sox and Patriots, and took pride in managing the Old Sox and Old Pats, his fantasy teams. 
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Helen Bougopoulos, and his brother James Bougopoulos and sister Sophia Desmond.  Charlie is survived by his wife Margaret Bougopoulos of San Jose, CA, his daughter Beth Steeley (Rob) of Turlock, CA, his son Nick Bougopoulos of San Jose CA, his grandsons Nicholas and Christopher Steeley of Turlock, CA, his sister Anna and her husband Jack McCullagh of East Weymouth, MA, his sister in-law Patricia Crowley of Fairhaven, MA, and many nieces and nephews.  
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 10th at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home in Milton. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 11th at St. Catherine Greek Orthodox Church, 1 19 Common St. Braintree.  Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Brockton.  A Celebration of Life will be held in San Jose, CA on Sunday, March 31st at the Villages Golf and Country Club from 1 pm - 3pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.alfreddthomas.com
