Ndubeze Okeke Obituary

In loving memory of Ndubeze B. Okeke, a resilient soul whose journey began in Nigeria and blossomed into the American dream in 1968. He embarked on this path through a scholarship from Mrs. Scott, a beacon of hope and mentorship.

Affectionately known as "Maths Maths Physics," Ndubeze's brilliance in sciences earned him this endearing nickname. His journey was marked by unwavering determination, having sustained a gunshot wound during his service in the Nigerian civil war. Undeterred, he pursued education with a passion that eventually led him to the United States.

On a poignant New Year's Eve in 1977, Ndubeze sealed a lifelong love story with Laeticia in Nebraska. This union became a cornerstone of his legacy—a legacy defined by resilience, kindness, and boundless generosity.

His academic pursuits at the University of Lincoln, Nebraska, reflected not only his intellect but also his commitment to knowledge. With honors in his undergraduate and two postgraduate studies, Ndubeze's journey extended beyond textbooks. His career wove through teaching, finance, and entrepreneurship, touching the lives of those around him.

On January 25, 2024, Ndubeze peacefully departed, leaving behind a devoted wife and a cherished family—Chizoba, Chinonso, Chiagozie, Ada, Chidinma, and Chika. His influence lives on through them, each carrying forward the torch of his resilience and compassion.

Visiting hours will be held at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home (326 Granite Ave., Milton MA 02186) on Friday March 8, 2024 from 4:00-6:00pm. A private burial will follow, providing a moment of quiet reflection on the impactful journey of a man who touched hearts and inspired those around him. May comforts envelop the Okeke family during this time of shared remembrance.
